Rizzi Fresh Iberica: cultivation of different lettuce varieties for the food processing industry

Rizzi Fresh Iberica
means ideal climatic conditions and fertile soil for growing lettuces in open fields.

Freshness, variety and all the sun of Spain.

In the last decades, Spain has taken a leading role in the production of salads and vegetables. We therefore decided to invest in this fertile land.

Thanks to the enrollment in our project of experienced managers and business partners with many years of experience in the field as well as of qualified agronomists, we have been able to develop and coordinate every phase of the work to guarantee speed, freshness, product quality, efficiency and dynamism.

Today, we cultivate numerous varieties of lettuces in more than 1,500 hectares of our own open fields, stretching from Torrevieja to the Murcia region and all the way up to Vera, Cullar and Albacete. Our assortment includes over 40 varieties of salads! From green Apollo to Frisée, from Romaine to Lollo Red and the classic Iceberg.

In the immediate vicinity of our plots of land we have a 15,000 m² IFS-certified warehouse equipped with cold storage and vacuum cooling systems, paired with an in-house packaging department.

Not only
salads

In addition to our broad product portfolio of salads, we also produce selected varieties of peppers in Spain.

These grow in fifty hectares of greenhouses in Murcia (Aguilas) and Almería (Berja, Nijar) all year round. From red and green to yellow peppers, we produce a total of 3 million, of which 800,000 kg are destined specifically for the industry. Carefully sorted into calibers from 80 to 120 and packed in our Rizzi box.
